Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has announced the Companies (Corporate Social Responsibility) Policy Rules, 2021 which includes few significant changes like Compulsory Registration with MCA by filing CSR-1, entities undertaking CSR activity to share information and specify reasons if they fail to spend 2% of the earmarked net profits towards CSR, changes in activities included and excluded in CSR, hiring of an independent agency if CSR obligation is more than 10 Crores, etc.
