Dr. Suresh Kumar Agarwal, world-renowned Homoeopathic Physician hailing from Kolkata, and Founder Chancellor of Pragyan International University, Ranchi, has been appointed as the Peace Ambassador for India by the Gandhi Peace Foundation in Nepal. The appointment was made on 6th December, 2018 at Kathmandu, Nepal.

The appointment was made in recognition of Dr. Agarwal’s valuable advise and support to fulfil the aim of Gandhi Peace Foundation for promotion and inculcation of ideas and principles of world peace, human rights, harmony, tolerance, non-violence, amity brotherhood, friendship, international understanding and cooperation.

The main aim of Gandhian Philosophy is to create an atmosphere of peace and harmony by “Ahimsa” or non-violence in the world. Global peace has become a major concern in the present time considering the terrible challenge humanity is facing for its own existence. Mahatma Gandhi has been a source of inspiration not only for the nation but for the entire world. He inspired the world with his faith in truth and justice for all mankind.

When contacted, Dr. Agarwal said “A world of peace can be achieved if we learn and adopt the power of non-violence, as shown by the life of Mahatma Gandhi. Let us join hands together and pray for peace, work for peace, and let live in peace and harmony”.

Chandan Agarwal, CEO of Pragyan International University, a UGC and Government approved University in Ranchi, said “Peace and Harmony can be achieved by integrated efforts, actualizing student’s potentials, teaching students how to learn and unlearn about life, helping them make peace with themselves and others, live in harmony, and helping in dealing with conflict, destruction and prejudice”. The values of Gandhian Philosophy are being incorporated in the studies offered by Pragyan International University.
